Our minimum order is 10 bags from stock and 500 bags for custom runs.

What material are bulk bags made from?

They are made from 100% polypropylene.

What are circular bags?

Circular bags are constructed from tubular fabric cut to the required height.

What are U panel bags?

U panel bags have a single fabric sheet forming two opposite sides and the bottom of the bag.

What is coating or laminate on a bulk bag?

Coating or laminate is a moisture barrier, usually one mil polypropylene, which is applied to the woven fabric. For some uses a poly liner is a better choice to protect the contents. Neither coating nor a liner will make the bag 100% waterproof.

What is a duffle top?

A duffle top is a skirt closure on a bulk bag. They are usually about 30 inches high and an attached tie allows the user to fully open or close the top as needed.

What is a fill or discharge spout?

A spout is most often 14″ in diameter and 18″ long. The spout is designed to minimize dust as the bag is being filled or discharged and can be customized.

What are baffles?

Baffles are fabric that extend across the corners of the bag to help maintain its shape and to keep it from bulging. The baffles have holes to allow the bags to fill uniformly.

What is meant by “sift proofing”?

There are many methods of sift proofing a bulk bag. The purpose is to prevent product leakage from the seams. A special felt or soft yarn is sewn into the seams.

What is an anti-static bulk bag?

These are bags made of a special fabric which allows static electricity to discharge safely.

What does SWL stand for?

Safe Working Load. This is the weight that the bag is rated to hold safely.

Can a bulk bag be patched?

A bulk bag can be patched but patching is not recommended.

Can bulk bags be reused?

Bulk bags can be reused under certain conditions. It is recommended that the bag be designed for reuse. Bags could have a defect such as a small hole or unstable loops which would make them unsuitable for reuse.

Yes. They are made from 100% polypropylene and can be recycled.
